Vastu Shastra is an ancient Vidya of structure which taught the users the art of harmonious living with the nature’s field of energy (Jal, Prithvi, Agni, Vayu and Akash). Our sages and saints devel-oped the Vastu science after a great deal of research and experimentation and evolved a common platform to be adhered to for the construction.
The construction or renovation carried out in accordance with principle of Vastu (Time and Space) and astrology (Time) not only brings the comforts of happy living but also the financial prosperity. There definate exists a co-relationship between the natal horoscope of the occupants, horoscope of structure and the Muhurta of the construction related activities. These principles of Vastu alongwith astrology are presently applied with excellent results in the construction of building of all kinds like residential, plotted developments, apartments and flats, commercial and institutional like offices, shops, hotels, schools and hospitals or industrial buildings.
The book is in 2 parts. The part I dealt with the Vastu explanation, astrological consideration, loca-tion of various area in the plot/building, muhurta, construction sequence, landscaping, colours, quantification and modifications whereas part II dealt with the diagonal plots, plotted development, commercial developments, industrial structure, and analysis of structure based on the natal horo-scope for easy understanding.
The basic principes of Vastu in its totality can only be applied to a plot of 500 sq.m. or more. The plot of such size in the metro cities may not be available or even if available may not be in reach of every one so the Vastu principles have to be applied to other relevant factors like location of water source (under ground and overhead tanks), Hollowness/depression and Entrace, position of rooms and its interior, direction of water closet and placement of cooking range/cooking direction etc, in consideration with natal horoscope.
An efforts have been made to quantify the Vastu of the structure and their modifications based on the research done by us while rendering services. The quantification is the Ist ever efforts in the direction to minimise the dismantling and demolitions.

The square is the best shape and thereafter the rectangular with certain restriction on the dimensions. It is not that the other shapes of the plot or the building are unfit for the use or the west or the south directions will bring hardships. The shapes are largely link to generation of energy field. The irregular shapes like triangle, pentagon, circular, etc. will create imbalance in the creation and dispersal of energies. Having a square or rectangular plot/building without proportion to length, breadth and height will be of no use, it is as bad as any other profile because such plot will not generate the adequate energies or vibrations. The volume of space generated and material consumed must be in harmony with the plot/building dimensions. From design perspective if the diinension of the bed/sofa are greater than the dimension of the space, the bed/sofa is too big. The condition is obviously out of balance and may cause much dimensional problems. When an individual is comfortable at physical & emotional level then & then only the spiritual aspects of the individual can be awakened & explored. The more conscious you are about the spiritual aspects of yourself, the greater the experience on the other level. Even without spiritual consciousness when you enhance the energy of a space your sub-conscious mind still recognizes the benefit. Therefore the dimension at physical plain suggest many layers of experience we human beings have like all rounder, self satisfied personality, etc.
